32 x 40 (4) bents main section with (2) 10 x 16 1-story wings.for 1581 sqft. Loft is ½ the footpring for 750 sq ft for a total of 2321 sqft living space plus basement. The “Bevins” timber frame is a very special project for Atlantic as the first of three memorable trips to Alaska that forged our future. The footprint of this timber frame is 32’ x 40’ with two additional 10’ x 16’ wings giving a total of 2321 sq. ft. of usable living space. The main level is an open area and the downstairs bedroom and bath are located in the additional wings. Hand forged iron railing accents the loft where the master bedroom and bath are located. Twelve inch insulated panels were installed on the roof and ten inch panels on the walls to ensure this is one of the snuggest igloos in Alaska. The great room window boasts a remarkable view of Mt. McKinley, easily viewed over 100 miles away on a clear day. Exterior round log porches were added by one of Alaska’s notable local craftsman who also performed the interior finishes.
