| | The
wings are made of structural panel walls with standard 2 x 6 trusses, thus allowing
storage space in the attic. Half of the left wing is used for a porch area and
the other half is used to open up the kitchen and dining areas. In the right wing
are two bedrooms and a bath.
This combination of timber frame,
structural panels, and standard truss wings worked as a very good marriage of
materials and produced an economical price per square foot. We
thank Trustworthy Construction for acting as our advisors on the job, and for
making the raising a very productive few days. They along with homeowners Steve,
Kim, family, friends made the frame raising a memorable experience.
